Why are email and phone number required when registering?

We try to find multiple ways to ensure that you don’t have to supply us with all your information when you enroll a card at our store. Because we only require either a phone number or email when enrolling a card, we need to ensure that we can find your account when registering your online web access. This is to protect you from fraud.
